David Parker has dedicated 38 years to serving the people of North Carolina. David’s concern for the quality of life and the rights of North Carolinians goes well beyond politics.
Professional Advocate for NC People and NC Business Development: David began his legal career as a prosecutor in Statesville, NC in 1979. As a defense attorney, he has tried commercial, family law, and Workers Compensation cases across North Carolina. David stands out internationally as a member of US trade delegations to Taiwan (Republic of China), Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Dedicated to NC Families and Children: Elected to serve Iredell-Statesville School Board. David worked hard locally serving on many boards as well as Chair of the Mitchell Community College Board. The Eagle Scout award he earned in his youth still shows in his hands-on personality. David has been a leader in his community as Clerk of Session for the Statesville First Presbyterian Church and Moderator of Salem Presbytery.

David chaired the North Carolina Democratic Party in 2012, representing our state for the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. He was a Phi Beta Kappa Economics graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then UNC School of Law. David is an attentive listener and the people of North Carolina’s 10th congressional district need to be heard!
David believes each registered voter in North Carolina needs to know NC is a Right-to-Vote-by-Mail-State!
David and his wife Sally Rives Parker have kept their family at the center of their marriage of 39 years. The experience of being grandparents to four precious girls has brought extraordinary joy and responsibility into their lives. Quality, affordable medical care and a strong education system mean so much.
As a lawyer, David protected neighborhoods from exposure to hazardous materials. As a businessman, David has innovated co-working space in Charlotte and developed 600 apartments on Lake Norman, employing hundreds of construction workers from counties in NC’s 10th District.
David strives to balance a deep commitment to succeed, both for his family and the broader community. He has a special relationship with the families of all three of his children. Believe it or not, David even sings and composes music on guitar and piano!
